Dear Jeff,
Thanks for your suggestions.
However, the web page you mentioned does NOT provide any info on the error I'm experiencing.
The web page lists a number of very specific errors: 201, 205, 206 etc.
I do NOT experience any numbered errors - I experienced the error as per the screenshot you can see above. The web page you mentioned doesn't refer to any other errors, except for the numbered errors listed there.
My Internet connection is perfectly fine. Creative Cloud works with no problems using the same connection on the laptop near me.
The only other seemingly relevant link on that page is: Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CC, CS6, CS5.5
It also does NOT list the problem being discussed here.
Regardless, I went through some of the suggestions:
-I don't have any activate.adobe.com entries in my hosts file
-I can't connect to https://lm.licenses.adobe.com - get "Page is not available" message. "The connection to lm.licenses.adobe.com was interrupted."
-I'm not behind a firewall
-Already checked GlobalRoot Sign before - and it's fine.
I have InDesign CC, Photoshop CC and Dreamweaver CC open - the Help menu confirms that I'm signed in to Creative Cloud. Same with the Preferences > Account of the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Any other ideas why I can't download the apps?
Thanks for any help,
Leo
