Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 won't open under my current admin profile.
I recently installed Adobe CC 2014 suite on my Windows 7 OS. All the programs open properly with the exception of Illustrator CC. The error message I get is:
Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Since receiving this message I have gone through other forum posts and have tried all (below) with no remedy.
- Uninstalled using Windows Uninstall Program followed by Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and reinstalled. (I’ve done this numerous times. I also removed any prior software versions (CS5) along with preceding software preferences.)
- All of my OS drivers have been updated.
- Monitor, Processor and GPU Drivers are updated. NOTE: I’m running an Intel Core i7 960 3.2GHz processor and an AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series GPU.
- I’m running my workstation as an admin user, however created a shared user group so InDesign would open properly. (This was my other problem I was having up until a few hours ago.)
- I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Verdana and Tahoma TTF fonts.
- I am not running or have installed any 3rd party plug-ins.
I read a forum post that said you can get around this problem by creating a new admin account. I did and was able to open Illustrator under that profile; however I’m still unable to open it under my existing admin account. How can I get around this? There must be a way to get Illustrator to open in my current account.
Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. I’m now on day No. 2 trying to get this solved.

I purchased CS5 and subsequently acquired a trial version of CS6 that I didn't purchase. Now that the trial is over I am unable to use CS5.
I imagine that there's an easy answer and expected to be able to contact Adobe for help. No such luck. The website just runs me around in circles with this forum being the closest I can come to contact Adobe.

Could you tell me are you on Mac or Windows?
When you click on phone, are you not getting a Window to select From > Desktop or Tablet?
Does it happen on a specific .muse file? Can you create a blank new Site in desktop layout and then try to create a phone layout from there, does it wok on blank new one?

1.1. Download the Adobe Flash Player file version 14 at Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
1.2 or dowonload the above link: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_osx.dm g
2.1 Double-click the AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_14_ltrosxd_aaa_aih.dmg in your download folder
4. Do not double-click the red face (png file) - Installer "Install Adobe Flash Player".
5. Right click the face to perform a precise selection: Show Package Contents.
6.1 Select - Contents and double click; Select - Resources and double click; Select - Adobe Flash Player.pkg and double click.
6.2 Warning!! Select - Contents and double click; Select - Resources and double click; Select - app.bundle and copy it to your internet plugin folder (more work!!)
7. Select: Continue and complete your installation.

Here is a picture, for example if I wanted to remove the 2 people walking on the left. I have tried following instructions from the tutorials, but all I managed to do is to highlight the objects, and when I used the "Fill" function, the chosen object will be removed but blackened, not filled with the surrounding scenery. Bear in mind I am using the trial version of photoshop element, so I wonder if the function is not available. Thanks .

Bill...this DOES look amazing compared to OUR laptops !!! However, I am still wondering if Haswell E laptops will come out soon to beat even THIS !!...the CPU clockspeed will probably be the same,but, will more cores, more cache, and quad-channel memory change the performance that much in a laptop? For MORE Ha-has I ran the old PPBM5 test AGAIN after overclocking the GPU memory to 3Mhz on the G750 and shaved 10secs off the total time...down to 195 total time seconds using 5.03. That makes our laptops comparable to upper tier DESKTOPS of 2011 in performance ! I have NOT yet run the new test with 2014CC, but, will soon...

Although what I posted in my post numbered 2 is interesting and useful information in the Premiere Elements ripping of VOBs from DVD-VIDEO, it is not answering your issue regarding a "read only" issue and did not target your specific "read only" message. Sorry about that.
The VOBs are typically read only files on the disc.
I have never run into a "read only" issue with regard to the Premiere Elements 10 Windows 7 64 bit Add Media/"DVD Camcorder or PC DVD Drive"/Video Importer. For that matter, not with any version of Premiere Elements with this particular feature.
When are you getting this message.
a. When you click on DVD Camcorder or PC DVD Drive after Get Media
b. When you click on Get Media in the Video Importer or other
Do you ever get a thumbnail for the VTS_01_1.VOB in the Video Importer? Is your burner drive recognized in the Source field of the Video Importer?
If you open and explore the DVD disc, go to the VTS_01_1.VOB in the VIDEO-TS Folder, go to the VOB's properties, can you remove
the mark next to "read only" and then have the Video Importer route work for you?
Also, if you copy the VTS_01_1.VOB from the opened DVD disc and paste it to the computer desktop and remove the "read only" marking, can you then import
the VTS_01_1.VOB into Premiere Elements with its Get Media/Files and Folders?
